Reading this graphic: Each curve shows where an event demands the most capacity on the PTG intensity spectrum. The 800m (red) peaks sharply in the Speed zone — narrow and intense. As events get longer, the curve shifts left and widens: the 5K (blue) peaks in the Stamina/Aerobic Power zone and demands capacity across the entire spectrum. The height represents relative importance, not absolute fitness. Every runner needs all zones — the profile tells you where to put the weight.
